First off, can you believe that loaded five new posts today! crazy. Kimmi is a blogging machine! So yeah, make sure you scroll down to see all the latest news from the Dibb household.
I wanted to get in on the action so I decided to write about our first date away from the little one.
As you all know, I'm a big fan of concerts. It's just something about being surrounded by a bunch of other weirdos who have the same taste of music you do. It's intoxicating. Anyway one of my favorite bands came to town, The Weepies. They are more on the mellow side of my ipod bands, kind of folksy, but defiantly in my top ten all time favorite bans. I've known and listened to them for about 4 years now but they've never actually toured (mostly because they had a baby together and they wanted to take care of him for some reason.)
Anyway a few months back Kimmi called to tell me that they were actually touring and coming to SLC. Since Kimmi is a fan too I instantly bought tickets and I'm glad I did because the show actually sold out! Ken and Linda were kind enough to watch Spencer while we went out (they didn't need much convincing to spend a night with their only grandchild)
The opening band (Joe Pugg or something) was quite boring.... but it was worth suffering through because The Weepies are an excellent live band. They plaid a fantastic set which included almost all my favorite songs.
We had a great time and I look forward to many more dates with the wife.
A few pictures from the night:
I liked this venue. For one thing it was over 21 only so no punk teenagers. Also they had church pews set up in stadium seating format so we got good seats and didn't have to stand the whole time.

I know I'm totally not a very cool person, I just recently discovered the weepies and I enjoy them as well!
