The Garage

Posted by Kimmi:

I have not had the pleasure of parking my car in a garage since before Mark and I got married. That's 4 1/2 plus years! But last night we had the wonderful experience of pulling into the driveway, pushing that small gray button on the visor, then driving forward into a clean, usable garage! I have a wonderful husband who for the past couple days has been cleaning and organizing the garage so we can use it before the snow hits. Perfect timing!

So amazing we had to take a picture to document the momentous occasion.

Additional comments by Mark:

I am a cruel husband. Like Kimmi said, she's never parked in the garage since we were married. Our first apartment didn't have a garage, our house up in Twin Falls only had a one car garage and I was quick to claim it as my own...especially when I bought my car. We then bought our current house back in April and the garage immediately got filled by ripped out carpet and our kitchen demo. When we got rid of that the garage got filled by our new appliances and all our new kitchen cabinets. Once those got installed I used the garage as a staging ground for all our countertops. But Saturday I installed the counter tops and it became my new goal to get the cars in the garage. I am a firm believer that garages should be used for what they are intended...CARS and the past six months have been hard on me because it was being used for everything BUT cars. Anyway yeah I'm very pleased that Kimmi will no longer have to scrape the ice off her windshield or get into a 600 degree mobile oven.....I am very grateful for her patience.

P.S. I'm excited to have my car in the garage again too.
