I think I'll start by telling you a bit about our bathroom that is finally done and very lovely if I do say so myself. As I mentioned, we were frantically trying to get our remodels done so they looked nice for our guests. These first two pictures are of course the "before"... extremely ugly as you can see. The floor was carpeted, the toilet ran constantly and was most likely made when dinosaurs roamed the earth. There was this ugly fake marble stuff on the back walls. Not to mention the HIDEOUS flowery shower curtain left by the old owner. So ALL of it had to go.
As you'll see below we were not kidding. We ripped it all out. All except for the tub. The tub was in good enough shape, it just needed a good hard cleaning and some new fixtures.
Our next step was tile and new paint for the walls. Though I would like to claim that I did the tile myself.... I didn't...... Tiling is a skill I just didn't dare to attempt. Since we only use the best, we hired one of Kimmi's co-worker's brother who just so happened to be the guy who did the tiling at the new Twin falls temple baptistery! (no big deal) If its good enough for the House of the Lord, its good enough for our tiny bathroom!
I did however do the rest. This is me installing my very first toilet.
This is me trying to figure out how the crap to install in my very first toilet...
I think I got this figured out.....
HOLY CRAP ITS WORKING!!
And the finished product:
A special thanks to the our new friends Brad and Sage Hanks who are in our ward.I ran into Brad at Lowe's one night and after telling him what we were remodeling he informed me that he works for a pluming supply store! He gave me some excellent advise/help as well as a free shower head!! Thanks a million, you're awesome! We still owe you for helping us so much!
More posts about our recent activities are to come, but its late and I want to go to bed. Until tomorrow then.

Thanks for that little blurp on us. Actually Brad is the one that helped you. I am excited to know that you have a blog. I will definately add you to ours. we need to get together more often and hang out, instead of letting me ride your scooter around the neighborhood at 11:00 at night. It was fun though! Keep in touch!s
Oh the joys of doing it yourself. Good job.
I have to tell you, I laughed out loud at the "this is me trying to figure out how the crap to install my first toilet" part. So funny... Anyway, good work guys! It looks AMAZING! Way to go. And way to get only the best tiler. That is great. Is the tile from the baptistry too? :)
